Spanish brand Loewe have collaborated with artist Antonio Ballester Moreno to create a capsule collection of scarves and shawls inspired by the classic Manila shawl. As part of Loewe's collections for decades now, the shawl represents Spanish culture and the Madrid brand's heritage.
The 35-year-old painter has reinterpreted the Manila shawl in a series of three square silk scarves and three cotton and cashmere shawls, two designs inspired by nature and filled with bright colors. Birds, flowers, suns, ducks and geometric motifs decorate the pieces, as well as the names of the artist and the brand. The scarves cost €250 and the shawls €495.
Coinciding with the launch of this collaboration, the Loewe Gallery are exhibiting a retrospective of the painter until August 15th.
